(a) Sanitary sewer interceptors, as required by the Ohio Revised Code and Part Fourteen of these Codified Ordinances - the Building and Housing Code, are required for the purpose of separating harmful materials not permitted in the sanitary sewerage system.
(b) City inspectors shall inspect interceptors referred to in subsection (a) hereof to determine that the same are being regularly maintained and cleaned and are performing in the manner for which they had been designed and installed.
(c) If the inspector finds that the interceptor has not been properly maintained, and is in such condition as to allow the passage of harmful materials into the wastewater system, a report concerning the same shall be presented to the Law Department.
(d) No person shall allow an interceptor to be in such a condition as to allow the passage of harmful materials or unlawful matter into the wastewater system. Both the owner and/or tenant of the subject premises shall be liable for compliance with this section.
