The Chief of Police may revoke the license of any licensee under this chapter who violates or fails to comply, or whose officer, agent or employee violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter. In the case of a second conviction for such a violation or noncompliance, the Chief shall revoke such license. In either case, the Chief shall first give notice to the licensee and shall give him or her a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
Whenever, for any cause, a license issued under this chapter is revoked, the Chief shall not issue another license to the licensee, nor to his or her husband or wife, nor to any copartnership or corporation of which he or she is an officer, until the expiration of at least one year from the date of revocation of the license.
