848.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "Bath establishment" means any establishment having a fixed place of business where any person engages in or carries on, or permits to be engaged in or carried on, any activity providing any form of steam bath, electric light bath, electric tub bath, shower bath, tub bath, sponge bath, sun bath, mineral bath, Russian, Swedish or Turkish bath, giving salt glows, administration of fomentation or public bathing in any form for any consideration whatsoever.
   (b)   "Employee" means any person, other than a massage technician, who renders any service to the operator and receives compensation directly from the operator.
   (c)   "Massage" means any method of pressure on, friction against or the stroking, kneading, rubbing, tapping, pounding, vibration or stimulation of the external soft parts of the body with the hands or with the aid of any mechanical or electrical apparatus or appliance, with or without such supplementary aid as rubbing alcohol, liniments, antiseptics, oils, powder, creams, lotions, ointments or other similar preparations commonly used in this practice for a purpose other than the treatment of disorders of the human body.
   (d)   "Massage establishment" means any establishment having a fixed place of business where any person engages in or carries on, or permits to be engaged in or carried on, any of the activities mentioned in subsection (c) hereof for any consideration whatsoever.
   (e)   "Massage technician" means any person who, for any consideration whatsoever, engages in the practice of massage as defined in subsection (c) hereof.
   (f)    "Operator" means the permit operator of a massage establishment.
   (g)   "Outcall massage service" means any business, the function of which is to engage in or carry on massages at a location designated by the customer or client rather than at the massage establishment.
   (h)   "Person" means any individual, copartnership, firm, association, joint stock company, corporation or combination of individuals of whatever form or character.
   (i)   "Sexual" means the genitals.
