820.01 PERMIT REQUIRED; FEE; USE OF FEES.
   (a)   No person shall hold any private or public dance, reception, party or gathering of any kind, except for a charitable purpose, in any hall in the City, until the hall in which the same is to be held has been issued a permit for such purpose.
   (b)   No person who obtains a permit as provided for in subsection (a) hereof shall hold any such party at any time other than as approved on the permit.

   (c)   The permit shall be issued by the Mayor upon written application therefore accompanied by a fee of one hundred ten dollars ($110.00) for a dance or other event lasting up to four hours, or one hundred thirty-five dollars ($135.00) for a dance or other event lasting up to five hours, with an additional twenty-five dollars ($25.00) charged for each additional hour over five hours. All but ten dollars ($10.00) of every permit fee shall be used to compensate an auxiliary police officer detailed to preserve order at such event. If more than one police officer is required, such fee shall be increased in an amount necessary to compensate the officers. A notice of five business days to the Police Department is required for the scheduling of auxiliary officers.
