The establishment of an adult entertainment business tends to result in the blighting and deterioration of the area in which such business is established. Accordingly, it is necessary to regulate such businesses, in such a manner as to prevent the erosion of the character of the affected neighborhood, and to prohibit the establishment of such businesses within close proximity to existing adult entertainment businesses, residentially zoned areas, schools, day care centers, churches, parks and playgrounds.
