(a) No person shall possess an air rifle, BB gun, compressed air pistol, carbon dioxide gun or any similar device outside the confines of his or her home, or fire such device.

(b) No underage person shall purchase, order, pay for, share the cost or attempt to purchase an air gun, BB gun, compressed air pistol, carbon dioxide gun or any similar device.
(c) No person shall sell or furnish an air gun, BB gun, compressed air pistol, carbon dioxide gun or any similar device to an underage person.
(d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
(e) As used in this section, "underage person" means a person under 18 years of age.
