There is hereby established the position of Director of Planning and Development. The Director of Planning and Development shall be appointed by the Mayor, with approval of Council. The Director of Planning and Development shall be responsible for managing and carrying out the duties and purpose of the Department of Planning and Development and shall also be responsible for performing such other duties as assigned by the Mayor. The Director of Planning and Development shall be designated as the Housing Officer, responsible for the implementation of the City's Community Reinvestment Area, as described further in Chapter 898 of the City's Codified Ordinances. The Director of Planning and Development shall administer the land reutilization program established pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 1226 of the City's Codified Ordinances and Ohio R.C. Chapter 5722.
