SECTION 23. DUTIES OF CITY CLERK GENERALLY.
   In addition to such duties as the Council shall prescribe, and, in addition to such other duties herein provided, the City Clerk shall also be the Recorder and shall perform all the duties required of the Recorder. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to keep the journal of the proceedings of the Council, and have charge of and preserve the records, papers, contracts and other documents belonging to the City; it shall be the Clerk’s duty to attend the sessions of the Municipal Court and keep an accurate record of its proceedings, and all judgments shall be entered by the Clerk within twenty-four hours after the same are rendered. The Clerk shall also perform such other duties pertaining to the fiscal affairs of the City, or otherwise, as may be required of the Clerk by this Charter or by the Council.
