A. Application For Connection Permit: All persons desiring to make connection with the public sewer system shall make application to the town for a sewer connection permit and must pay a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) for such inspection and hookup, plus any costs of installation incurred.
B. Connection Requirements: All connections must comply with the following requirements:
1. Diameter: Private connections must be not less than four inches (4") in diameter and shall be of a substantial material as that used in the construction of the public sewer with which said connection shall be made;
2. Individual: All service in private dwellings must be individual;
3. Fall: The fall must be not less than two percent (2%);
4. Turns: All turns must be not less than one-eighth (1/8) bends;
5. Soil Or Iron Pipe: There must be a soil or iron pipe through the wall in all cases;
6. Joints: Wherever a smaller lateral leads from a larger, it must be bushed and all joints must be swabbed very clean.
7. Sewer Gate Valves: All connections into a structure which does not have a connection to the town's water system must include a sewer gate valve, in accordance with industry standards and specifications and such gate valve must be installed at a point within the main sewer line easement.
