A. The board shall be composed of seven (7) members, all of whom reside within the town or within the zoning jurisdiction of the town. One member shall be a member of the town council and will be the park commissioner. The park commissioner shall be appointed by the mayor. The board members shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of a majority of the town council.
B. The six (6) members appointed by the mayor shall be appointed as follows: three (3) for three (3) years, and three (3) for four (4) years. If, in the event that a term is vacated prematurely such that all terms will expire at the same time, the council shall have the discretion to appoint for staggered terms until such revolving terms are again established.
C. The board members shall not be entitled to a salary but may be reimbursed for expenses incurred as a result of their work on the board, including, but not limited to, mileage and per diem.
D. The board may employ personnel to assist in its functions, upon approval from the town council.
E. The board shall comply with the requirements of sections 7-1-201(11), (12), (13) and (14), Montana Code Annotated. (Ord. 10-001, 4-13-2010)
