The board of park commissioners ("board") for the town of Manhattan shall have all of the powers and duties as set forth in sections 7-16-4222 through 4228, Montana Code Annotated, including, but not limited to, the following:
A. To make all rules necessary to protect and promote the growth of trees and plants in parks, boulevards, and public places under the care and control of the board;
B. To make all rules for the use of parks by the public, subject to approval by the town council; and
C. To provide penalties for the violation of the rules, subject to approval by the town council.
The rules authorized by this section have the force of town ordinances and may be enforced as ordinances of the town are enforced. (Ord. 10-001, 4-13-2010)
