It shall be unlawful for any owner of a dog to keep a dog over six (6) months of age that is not currently vaccinated against rabies as verified by a veterinarian. Every dog which is required to be vaccinated shall wear a collar with a tag showing current rabies vaccination. The collar may be removed only when the dog is under the immediate control of its owner or authorized agent. (1977 Code § 8.04.060)
