Anyone violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a civil infraction; and upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of seventy five dollars ($75.00) or by a sentence of up to ten (10) hours of community service, or both. Citations for a curfew violation will be issued to the parents or guardians of the minor persons. The minor person will be returned to the custody of a parent or guardian; and any minor so found upon the streets or in any public place after or before the proper hours shall exhibit to any officer demanding the proper permit, unless properly attended or accompanied as in this chapter provided, or engaged in some lawful business; and on his or her failing or refusing to exhibit such permit, when so demanded, shall be prima facie evidence that the minor is in violation of this chapter.
