No person shall wilfully and maliciously break, cut, tear down, destroy, or in any manner injure any motor vehicle, trailer, fire plug, machinery, hose, tool, utensil, or other property of any kind, belonging to or connected with the fire department of the town, or any jail, door, furniture, fixture, or other property of any kind, belonging to the town or any department thereof, or any public building, or schoolhouse.
