Building connections installed prior to 1973 shall not be used for servicing new, reconstructed, or remodeled buildings. Building connections installed since 1973 may be used for servicing new, reconstructed, or remodeled buildings only when, in the opinion of the Public Works Director, they are found, on examination or test by the Public Works Director, to meet all the requirements of this chapter.
