§ 93.36 ABANDONED AND/OR INOPERABLE VEHICLES; TOWING.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to abandon a vehicle or permit an inoperable vehicle to remain on any highway, alley, public property, and on private property in view of the public in the village.
   (B)   Abandoned or inoperable vehicles located on a highway, obstructing a lane of traffic, creating a traffic or safety hazard may be immediately towed and impounded after reasonable attempts have been made to locate the owner or licensed driver with lawful authority to take possession of the vehicle.
   (C)   Abandoned or inoperable vehicles located on a highway or alley and not posing a traffic hazard may be towed and impounded within 24 hours after reasonable attempts have been made to have the vehicle moved.
   (D)   Abandoned or inoperable vehicles on public or private property in view of the public may be towed within seven days after issuance of notice from the village.
