It is recognized that the village previously entered into written agreements with the owners and operators of some existing private well facilities within the village. In the event of conflict between the terms of any existing written agreement and the requirements of this chapter, the village and well operator shall honor the terms and conditions of the existing agreement, to the extent of the conflict. This section shall not be interpreted as eliminating the requirement to obtain a permit for an existing well.
