PLAN AND ZONING COMMISSION
§ 33.01 CREATION.
   (A)   There is hereby created a Plan and Zoning Commission for the village, which shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Village President with the review, consent and approval of the Village Board of Trustees.
   (B)   All members shall reside within the village or within the territory contiguous to the village and not more than one and one-half miles beyond the corporate limits of the village and not included within any other municipality; provided, however, not more than one of those members shall reside outside of the corporate limits of the village.

§ 33.02 TERM.
   The terms of the members of the Plan and Zoning Commission shall be one year.

§ 33.03 ORGANIZATION.
   The Plan and Zoning Commission shall elect its own Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and other officers as it may deem necessary. Each member of the Plan and Zoning Commission shall receive compensation for service. The Village Administrator shall be the Secretary of the Plan and Zoning Commission. The Village Board of Trustees may establish a compensation for the Secretary of the Plan and Zoning Commission and may provide technical and other services to the Plan and Zoning Commission as may be needed from time to time.

§ 33.04 POWERS.
   The Plan and Zoning Commission shall have powers and exercise duties as are provided for in Division 12 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code, being ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5. To exercise those other powers germane to the powers granted by this act, as may be conferred by the Village Board of Trustees.

§ 33.05 SUBDIVISION PLATS.
   No map or plat of any subdivision presented for record affecting land within the corporate limits of the village and in contiguous territory outside and distant not more than one and one-half miles from the limits of the village, after the adoption of the Official Plan, shall be entitled to record or shall be valid unless the subdivision, thereon shown conforms with the applicable provisions of the Official Plan and the applicable requirements of the village subdivision ordinance and other ordinances.

§ 33.06 RECORDS.
   The Plan and Zoning Commission shall keep written records of its proceedings which shall be open to inspection by the Village Board of Trustees at all times.
