§ 151.30 PERMIT REQUIRED FOR ELECTRICAL WORK.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to install, alter, or repair any electrical work covered by this chapter without first obtaining a permit therefor from the Electrical Inspector and paying the permit fees provided for in §§ 151.39 or 151.40. The life of a permit may be extended, if necessary, on application, but all permits shall be void within sixty (60) days if the work contemplated under same is not begun within that time. Where work for which a permit is required is started or proceeded with, prior to obtaining the permit, the fee hereinafter provided shall be double, but payment of such double fee shall not relieve any person, firm, or corporation from fully complying with the requirements of this chapter in the execution of the work nor from any penalties prescribed herein.
