§ 91.02 HOUSE NUMBERS.
   (A)   All houses and lots in the city shall be numbered as follows:
      (1)   Main Street shall be the dividing line from which the numbering east and west shall commence, beginning with the number 1 on each side the dividing line, placing the odd numbers on the north side of the street and even numbers on the south side of the street running eastwardly and westwardly therefrom.
      (2)   All numbers of the houses east of the dividing line shall be known as East and all numbers on the west side of the dividing line shall be known as West.
      (3)   Center Street shall be the dividing line from which the numbering of the streets running north and south shall commence.
      (4)   The numbering shall begin with 1 on each side of the dividing line placing the odd numbers on the west side and the even numbers on the East side of the street.
      (5)   All numbers of houses north of the dividing line shall be known as North and all numbers on the south shall be known as South.
      (6)   The numbering shall commence with 1 at the dividing lines as above provided and continue until each and every house and lot in every square is numbered.

   (B)   Size and placement of numbers. All numbers placed on houses, buildings, or other structures in accordance with this section shall be not less than three inches in height, and be distinctly legible. They may be made of wood, metal, plastic, or may be painted and shall be posted in a conspicuous place upon the front of the building by the owner or his agent so that they can easily be seen from the public way.

   (C)   Policemen and firemen to report violations. It shall be the duty of all policemen and firemen of the city to report violations of any provision in this section.
