§ 51.14 CUSTOMER SERVICE CHOICE GS-2SS.
   (A)   Schedule LP – Large Power Service [three thousand (3,000) kW and greater]. Available to any commercial or industrial customer requiring more than three thousand (3,000) kW capacity, who shall contract for year-around permanent service, who abides by the Rules and Regulations of Madisonville Municipal Utilities (MMU), and who shall provide satisfactory guarantees or contributions to construction to satisfy the expenditure necessary to provide the desired service.
   (B)   Customer Voltage. Three-phase with secondary voltage of 120/240, 120/208, 240/480, 277/480; or primary voltage of 2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470.
   (C)   Customer Rate.

   (D)   Service Measurement Periods. The rating periods applicable to the on-peak and off-peak demand charges above shall be as follows:
 
On-Peak Period:
8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST), year round.
Off-Peak Period:
All hours Monday through Friday not included above plus all hours Saturday and Sunday.
 
   (E)   Customer Billing Demand. The billing demand will be the average number of kilowatts delivered to the customer during the fifteen (15) minute interval of maximum use during the monthly billing period as recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as provided below.
   (F)   Fuel Adjustment Charge. In the event the rate under which MMU purchases power at wholesale from its supplier is adjusted in accordance with a fuel cost adjustment provision contained in its wholesale power contract, an amount, sufficient to recover or account for said charge, shall be applied per kWh of sales to MMU customers. Such amount shall be stated separately on each bill and shall be designated Fuel Adjustment Charge.
   (G)   Customer Power Factor Billing Measurement.
      (1)   MMU installs facilities to supply power to the customer at or near unity power factor.
      (2)   MMU expects the customer to use apparatus which shall result in a power factor near unity. However, MMU will permit the use of apparatus which shall result, during normal operation, in a power factor not lower than ninety percent (90%) either lagging or leading.
      (3)   Where the customer's power factor is less than ninety percent (90%), MMU reserves the right to require that customer to furnish at his or her expense, suitable corrective equipment to maintain a power factor of ninety percent (90%) or higher. MMU also reserves the right to adjust the maximum measured load for billing purposes when the power factor is less than ninety percent (90%).
      (4)   The formula to be used for the adjustment of the maximum kW load when the power factor is below ninety percent (90%) is based on the power factor measured at the time of the maximum load and is as follows:
               Maximum Measured kW Load x 90%
      Adjusted kW Load   =   Power Factor (In Percent)
   (H)   Customer Dedicated Facility Charge. Charges under this rate schedule shall include a facility charge equal to one-and-one-half percent (1.5%) of the total installed cost of dedicated electric distribution facilities required to provide service to the Customer. MMU will prepare specific cost estimates on a case-by-case basis to determine the Facilities Charge.
   (I)   Customer Minimum Charge. The minimum monthly charge under this schedule shall be Customer Charge plus a Customer Dedicated Facility Charge as described above.
