§ 70.01 LIGHTS NEED NOT BE DISPLAYED UPON PARKED VEHICLES.
    Requirements of M.S. § 169.53, as it may be amended from time to time, are hereby exempted within city limits. Lights need not be displayed upon a parked vehicle on city streets and highways when stopped or parked in accordance with local parking regulations where there is sufficient light to clearly reveal any person or object within a distance of 500 feet upon the street or highway.

§ 70.02 EXHIBITION DRIVING.
   (A)   Exhibition driving prohibited. No person shall turn, accelerate, decelerate, or otherwise operate any motor vehicle with an unnecessary exhibition of speed on any public or private way within the city.
   (B)   Prima facie evidence. Unreasonable squealing or screeching sounds emitted by tires, or the throwing of sand or gravel by the tires or both, shall constitute prima facie evidence of a violation of this section.
   (C)   Violations. Any person violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor.
   (D)   Effective date. This section shall be effective upon its passage and publication.

§ 70.03 PARKING DURATION.
   (A)   It is unlawful for any person to stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle upon any street for a continuous period in excess of 24 hours.
   (B)   When any peace officer finds a vehicle unattended upon any street in violation of this section, the officer is hereby authorized to impound the unlawfully parked vehicle and to provide for the removal thereof and to remove the same to a convenient garage or other facility or place of safety; provided, that if any charge such be placed against the vehicle for cost of removal or storage, or both, by anyone called upon to assist therewith, the same shall be paid prior to removal from the place of storage or safekeeping.

SNOWMOBILES
§ 70.15 SCOPE OF APPLICATION.
   Notwithstanding provisions of this section to the contrary, this subchapter shall apply to the control of traffic and regulations of a class of vehicles falling within the definition of snowmobiles. All regulations regulating other classes of motor vehicles and not specifically mentioned herein shall apply to snowmobiles.

§ 70.16 PRIVATE PROPERTY.
   It is a petty misdemeanor to operate or store a snowmobile on private property without permission or consent of the owner or occupant.
