Closed loop well systems being abandoned shall be sealed in accordance with the Illinois Water Well Construction Code. The County Health Department shall be notified by telephone or in writing at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of any work to abandon a closed loop well system. After a closed loop well system has been sealed, a report for the sealing shall be in writing and in such form as shall be provided by the County Health Department, and shall be submitted to the County Health Department within 30 days after such closed loop well system is sealed.
