11-2-13: VIOLATIONS; PENALTIES:
   A.   Pursuant to subsection 11-2-7A of this chapter, the water supply may be cut off from any premises if such water service was obtained through misrepresentation or if any unauthorized use or wilful waste of water is found.
Should it be determined that water service has been disconnected without authorization from the village for the purpose of misrepresentation, unauthorized use or waste, and should the village cut the water supply of the premises where such violation has occurred, the village may execute the following actions:
      1.   Charge the customer for the cost of a new replacement meter.
      2.   Charge the customer for all labor costs for the replacement of a new meter.
      3.   Impose a fine not to exceed seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). Every day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
      4.   Charge the reconnection fee as established in this chapter.
      5.   Charge for all administrative costs.
   B.   The village shall have the right, upon prior notice to the property owner or occupant and failure of any such owner or occupant to correct a violation of this chapter, to correct such violation(s) at the expense of the property owner if the violation in question presents a threat to the life, public health, safety or welfare or if the disconnection is necessary to prevent water loss.
