The purpose of this chapter is to encourage disclosure, to the extent not expressly prohibited by law, of improper governmental action and to protect the rights of Lyon County officers and employees who make such disclosures in good faith. This chapter is established pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 281.611 through 281.671, inclusive, with the intent to provide the same level of whistleblower protections provided therein.
