14.04.07: FIREARMS AND ARCHERY DEVICES:
   A.   Except as otherwise provided in this section, no person may discharge any weapon from which a projectile may be propelled by means of explosive, spring, gas, air, or other force in any county park or open space.
   B.   The provisions of this section relating to discharge of firearms do not apply if the firearm or archery device is discharged:
      1.   At a designated shooting facility owned and operated by the county and under the supervision and control of the range master at the facility,
      2.   By a peace officer while engaged in the performance of his official duties, or
      3.   By hunters carrying shotguns in areas designated by the county as waterfowl hunting areas along the Carson, Truckee or Walker Rivers, during the Nevada state waterfowl hunting season. No shooting is allowed on such county owned property above the high water mark of the river. Only shotguns may be discharged in these areas. (Ord. 587, 6-2-2016, eff. 6-22-2016)
