A. Except where other penalties are provided by law, violations of the Lyon County Code, other than violations designated as civil infractions under this Code or the Nevada Revised Statutes, hereby are declared to be misdemeanors, punishable as provided in the Nevada Revised Statutes for misdemeanor violations as said statutes may be from time to time amended.
B. "Civil Infraction" means a non-criminal violation of any provision of this code that is specifically stated by Nevada Revised Statutes or this Code that it not punishable as a misdemeanor. Unless a different penalty is expressly provided by this code or a different penalty is provided for a particular offense in the Nevada Revised Statutes, the monetary penalty for a civil infraction is a civil penalty of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) per offense.
