3.11.01: DEFINITIONS:

As used in this chapter, unless stated otherwise herein, the following definitions shall apply:

BOARD: The Lyon County health board.

BOARD MEMBER: A member of the Lyon County health board.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COUNTY COMMISSION, OR COMMISSION: The board of county commissioners for Lyon County, Nevada.

COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER: A person appointed by the board of county commissioners as a county health officer on or before January 1 next following each general election.

HEALTH DIVISION: The health division of the department of health and human services for the state of Nevada.

SHERIFF: The sheriff of Lyon County, Nevada.

STATE BOARD OF HEALTH: Shall have the meaning ascribed unto it by Nevada Revised Statutes 439.060 et seq.

STATE HEALTH OFFICER: Shall have the meaning ascribed unto it by Nevada Revised Statutes 439.100 et seq. (Ord. 583, 2-18-2016)
