(a) Subject to Section 159.21, each full-time regular member of the Police Department of the City shall receive, in addition to all other compensation, an allowance for uniforms and cleaning. The amount of such allowance shall be in accordance with the provisions of the compensation ordinance of the City.
(b) The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to pay to each officer of the Department performing the duties of Detective, annually, to reimburse him or her for clothing expenditures, an allowance corresponding to moneys paid to uniformed police officers.
(c) The official or employee performing the duties of the School Guard-Dog Warden, at least forty hours a week, shall receive a uniform allowance, in addition to his or her regular remuneration, as provided for in the City's compensation ordinance.

(d) Special Police Officers shall be paid, upon presentation of paid invoices and/or invoices supported by purchase orders and upon the approval of the Mayor, up to one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per annum as a uniform allowance.
