§ 31.76 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   The Waterworks Superintendent shall be responsible for the regular and routine operation of the waterworks, including the daily supervision of employees of the waterworks. It shall be his or her duty, in conjunction with the Town Clerk-Treasurer, to see that the bylaws, rules, regulations, code provisions and any other ordinance of the town in relation to the waterworks system are complied with and enforced, that all contracts by, with or concerning the waterworks system are faithfully and strictly complied with, and that the assessments of water rates, rents, and rentals are duly made, collected and paid. The Superintendent shall approve all orders for the town on account of the waterworks system, and submit to the Town Council such explanations as will enable them to act advisedly thereon, and to be informed as to the conditions of the waterworks, and keep a record of the location, size and length of all the pipes, mains, hydrants and valves in use for the waterworks, and annually, the Waterworks Superintendent shall submit to the Council, a full and detailed report of the condition and operations of the waterworks for the year ending on December 31, with an estimate of the amount of outlay for the coming year, and he or she shall have such other duties as the Council may from time to time prescribe.    (B)   The Waterworks Superintendent shall have charge of the inspection of premises entered by service pipes, and the right to make such inspections, in conformity with §§ 33.01 through 33.03 of this code.
