(A) In accordance with the detailed requirements of the city, a permit shall be obtained to conduct the following operations, or to store, handle or use those hazardous materials which are considered to present an extra or unusual fire hazard to life or property:
(1) The storage, use or handling of explosive materials;
(2) The storage, use or handling of flammable or combustible liquids;
(3) Flammable finishing;
(4) The storage, use or handling of compressed or liquefied gases;
(5) Welding, cutting and other hot work operations;
(6) Combustible dust-producing operations;
(7) The storage, use or handling of hazardous materials;
(8) Aerial display of fireworks;
(9) Special uses (permit valid only for the specified event or occurrence and separate permits required for each such event or occurrence); and
(10) Multi-uses.
(B) Each person, firm or corporation conducting any of the above operations, or storing or using any of the above materials shall be responsible for obtaining permits before operations begin. Permits are not transferable to other locations or to other persons, firms or corporations.
(C) All occupancies existing at the time this code is adopted where hazardous materials are used, stored or handled, or where operations using hazardous materials are conducted, must meet Applicable Fire Code regulations before a permit will be issued or reissued.
