Violations of the provisions of this chapter shall be considered to be criminal mischief, as set forth in KRS 512.020 through 512.040, and if found guilty, violators shall be fined and/or imprisoned in accordance with the appropriate statute. If found guilty of criminal mischief in the first or second degree, the violator may be held liable by a court of law for the cost of any necessary repairs, to Metro Government and/or the Louisville Water Company, in addition to any fines or terms of imprisonment imposed.
