The Law Director may appoint assistant prosecuting attorneys to prosecute cases in the Mayor's Court, when the affidavit is filed by a person other than a member of the City safety forces and for violation of an ordinance. Such assistant prosecuting attorneys shall receive no compensation from the City for their services but shall be permitted to collect for their services from the person filing the affidavit.
