SECTION 3 NOMINATIONS.
   Any qualified elector of the City may be nominated by petition for the office of Mayor-Council person, Council person, or other elective offices according to the regulations of the regular election authorities. Nominating petitions shall be signed and filed with the County Board of Elections not earlier than 150 days nor later than 90 days before the election. A petition for nomination for Mayor-Council person or Council person or other elective offices shall be signed by not less than thirty nor more than fifty qualified electors of the City and shall show the consent of the nominee. Each candidate shall be nominated by separate petition, and no primary election shall be held for the selection of candidates for any elective office. (Amended November 3, 2020)
