The planning and building of all types of development in the City of Louisville shall promote the environmentally-sensitive use of land and preservation of prioritized natural, historic, and scenic resources. Examples of natural resource protection shall include low impact designs in development practices which maximize the preservation of steep slopes, groundwater, canopy cover, riparian areas and wetlands, and prevent soil and sediment erosion. Where possible, harm to the natural resources of Louisville shall be mitigated on-site or by means acceptable to the City of Louisville.
