(a) Designation and Reproduction of Official Zoning Map.
(1) The districts and their boundary lines are indicated upon a map entitled "Zoning Districts Map of the City of Louisville, Stark County, Ohio,” which map is made a part of this Unified Development Ordinance. The Zoning Districts Map together with all notations, references and other matters shown thereon are hereby incorporated herein by reference and declared a part of this UDO.
(2) This map shall be drawn in GIS format on acetate or other durable material from which prints can be made, shall be dated, and shall be kept in the Planning and Development Department.
(3) Should the Official Zoning Map be lost, destroyed, or damaged, the Planning Director may have a new map drawn from which prints can be made. No further council authorization or action is required so long as no district boundaries are changed in this process.
(b) Boundaries of Established Districts. The boundaries of any of the aforesaid districts shall be drawn on the Official Zoning District Map to reflect the following guidelines:
(1) Where boundaries approximately follow streets, alleys or highways. Where possible, district boundaries are to be indicated as approximately following the center line or right-of-way line of streets, the center line or alley line of alleys, or the center line or right-of-way lines of highways.
(2) Where boundaries follow lot lines. Where lot lines do not follow the center line or right-of-way line of streets, the center line or alley line of alleys, or the center line or right-of-way lines of highways, where possible, the boundary lines shall follow lot lines as indicated on the most recent parcel map prepared by the County Engineer.
A. Lots Divided by District Lines. Where district boundaries do not follow streets, alleys or highways, or lot lines, the locations of district lines shall be determined according to indicated distances or shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on the Official Zoning Map.
B. Upon Vacation of Public Ways. Whenever any street or public way is vacated in the manner authorized by law, the zoning districts adjoining each side of the street or public way shall be automatically extended to the center of such vacations and all area included in the vacation shall thereafter be subject to all regulations of the extended districts.
(c) Amendments to the Official Zoning Map. Amendments to the Official Zoning Map are accomplished using the same procedures that apply to other amendments to this UDO, as set forth in Chapter 1138.
(1) The Planning Director shall update the Official Zoning Map as soon as possible after amendments to it are adopted by City Council. Upon entering any such amendment on the map, the Planning Director shall change the date of the map to indicate its latest revision. New prints to the updated map may then be issued. No unauthorized person may alter or modify the Official Zoning Map.
(2) The Planning and Development Department shall keep copies of superseded prints of the Official Zoning Map for historical reference.
