Every housing license shall be issued for a period of one year from its date of issuance unless sooner revoked and may be renewed for successive periods of not to exceed one year. Before the owner of rental property enters into an agreement for the sale of any property subject to this Code, the structure shall be inspected for conformance with Code by the Property Maintenance Officer. If the structure conforms to this Code, a housing license may be transferred to a new owner or operator provided the transfer is made within seven days of the transfer or otherwise legal disposal of the dwelling.
