1316.05 FILING OF APPLICATION AND INSPECTION; PERMIT EXTENSIONS.
   (a)   The Building Inspector shall act upon all applications without delay. The Building Inspector shall be given not less than seventy-two hours after an application for such permit has been filed excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to inspect such buildings and structures. If it is found that the work can be executed safely in the manner proposed, a permit shall be issued thereof.
   (b)   Any permit issued under this chapter shall be valid for thirty consecutive days. With good cause shown, the Building Inspector may extend the permit no more than thirty days, provided however, only one such extension is granted. The continuation of demolishing a building beyond the permit's time limit constitutes a violation of this chapter, and each day such violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense punishable in accordance with Section 1316.99.
