(a) The person to whom permits have been issued shall be responsible for requesting periodic inspections at each of the following stages of construction before covering or concealing work and before proceeding beyond such stage with construction.
(1) Layout of building on site before excavation.
(2) After excavation.
(3) After footers are in place.
(4) Completion of foundation, waterproofing and, if required by the Building Inspector, the installation of footing drains and sump pump if necessary.
(5) Completion of roughing in plumbing, sewerage, electrical wiring, gas piping, heating ducts or piping or other similar service installation before it is covered or concealed.
(6) Upon the final completion of the structure for compliance with the provisions of this Residential Building Code.
(b) Such inspections shall be made by the Building Inspector within seventy-two hours, excluding holidays, from the date on which they are requested; in the absence of such an inspection it shall be deemed approved and construction may proceed.
