The City Manager has authority to grant and issue a license to hold, sponsor or conduct any public dance provided for in this chapter upon the payment of license fee therefor in the sum of thirty-five dollars ($35.00). The license shall expire on December 31 of the year in which issued and the full license fee will be required of licensee annually irrespective of the date of issue of such license, provided however, that the license shall be revocable by the City Manager for violation of any ordinance governing such dance or when he shall find it necessary to do so in order to preserve the public peace and morals.
