618.12 HUNTING PROHIBITION; PERMIT.
   (a)   No person shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill any animal or fowl by the use of firearms, bow and arrow, air rifle or any other means within the corporate limits of the Municipality except upon all of the following terms and conditions:
      (1)   An individual may hunt on Qualified Land that is owned by the individual, owned by the individual's employer, or owned by a corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or trust of which the individual is an owner or trustee.
      (2)   "Qualified Land" is any real property that consists of at least fifty (50) contiguous acres of real property within the Municipal corporation limits where all of said land has the same owner(s), and where some boundary point of the real property is adjacent to real property that is not in the Municipality corporation limits.
      (3)   The individual hunting must comply with all applicable State, Federal, and Municipality laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances regarding such hunting.
      (4)   All such hunting shall be performed with bow, crossbow, or shotgun only.
      (5)   No person shall hunt within three hundred (300) feet of a property boundary, residence, or public road, where the property adjacent to the boundary, the house, or the road are located in the Municipality.
   (b)   Nothing in this section shall be deemed to prohibit the killing of rats and other undesirable rodents authorized to be killed by the Chief of Police using means for such killing as are also authorized by the Chief.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
