(a) The Village shall pay for the commercial driver license renewal fee set forth in Ohio R.C. 4506.08 minus the cost set forth in Ohio R.C. 4507.23 for the renewal of a personal driver’s license held by any employee of the Village of Loudonville, provided said license is required to enable the employee to operate commercial motor vehicles owned by the Village of Loudonville in the course and scope of said employee’s employment with the Village, and further provided that said renewal application is timely made in accordance with Ohio R.C. 4506.14. Should the fee for a renewal of a commercial driver’s license as currently set forth in Ohio R.C. 4506.08 and the fee for a renewal of a personal driver’s license as currently set forth in Ohio R.C. 4507.23 be amended by the State of Ohio, the Village shall reimburse the employee, pursuant to this section, the revised fees set forth therein.
(b) The Village shall pay the initial application fee for a commercial driver’s license for each employee of the Village of Loudonville who is employed by the Village as of the effective date of this section, and who further requires a commercial driver’s license to perform the duties of their employment by the Village of Loudonville, by operating a commercial motor vehicle owned by the Village while in the course and scope of their employment with the Village of Loudonville, said fee not to exceed twenty dollars ($20.00) as set forth in Ohio R.C. 4506.08. Should the fee for an initial application for a commercial driver’s license as currently set forth in Ohio R.C. 4506.08 be amended by the State of Ohio, the Village shall reimburse the employee, pursuant to this section, the revised fees set forth therein.
