All members of the Fire Department using their private motor vehicles to respond to fire or emergency call shall be paid for the use of such motor vehicles two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) for each time they respond to the scene of a fire or emergency call. Such compensation shall be paid on a monthly basis.
