238.11 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.
   (a)   The Village Law Enforcement Trust Fund is hereby established for the purpose of receiving those funds to which the Police Department is entitled by virtue of Ohio R.C. 2933.33.
   (b)   Proceeds distributed from the Fund shall be allocated by Council only to the Police Department and not to any other individual, agency or entity.
   (c)    The Fund shall be expended only to pay the costs of protracted or complex investigations or prosecutions, to provide reasonable technical training or expertise, to provide matching funds to obtain Federal grants to aid law enforcement or for such other law enforcement purposes that Council determines to be appropriate. However, such Fund shall not be used to meet operating costs of the Police Department that are unrelated to law enforcement. (Ord. 44-87. Passed 9-8-87.)
