(a) All hourly employee shall be paid twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour less than the established wage rate for their position, or the Federal minimum wage, whichever amount is greater, during any probationary period not otherwise waived in accordance with the laws and ordinances of the Village.

(b) The six-month probationary period for hourly employees may be waived at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
