238.06 HOLIDAYS; COMPENSATORY TIME OFF.
   Any salaried or hourly employee of the Police Department working on any of the holidays set forth in Section 250.02 shall be entitled to take one scheduled working day off with pay at any time within one year from the date of the holiday worked. In the event that a holiday falls on an employee’s regular day off, such employee shall be entitled to take one scheduled working day off with pay at any time within one year from the date of such holiday. In either such event, the employee, at his option, may elect not to take such day off, in which case such employee shall receive one day of pay in lieu of the compensatory time off. That pay shall be at straight time and shall not be used to create overtime.
