The following procedure shall be followed by members of the Police Department upon receiving a death notice for delivery in the Village.
The officer on duty shall immediately record the names of the deceased person and the person from whom the notice of death was received. He shall promptly notify the Chief of Police. The officer, with the Chief of Police, shall immediately notify the next of kin or other interested persons.
In the event the Chief of Police is not available, the officer on duty shall notify the Mayor. (Ord. 883. Passed 3-16-64.)
