(a) Pipe shall be cast-iron water pipe, Class 150, mechanical joint-type conforming to A.N.S.I. (formerly A.S.A.) Specification A21.6, or Class 150 roll-on-rubber-gasket joint-type.
(b) Fittings shall be mechanical joint-type, Class 250, meeting the requirements of A.N.S.I. (formerly A.S.A.) A21.11 and A.W.W.A. C111 Specifications; for bell and spigot type, Class 250, meeting the requirements of A.N.S.I. (formerly A.S.A.) A21.10 and A.W.W.A. C110 Specifications.
(c) Valves shall be nonrising stem-type, iron body, bronze mounted, double disc parallel seat valves having "O" ring seals and mechanical joint ends. They shall conform in all respects to A.W.W.A. Specifications and be furnished with two-inch square wrench nuts and open to the left. Valves are to be either Mueller or Darling.
(d) Valve boxes shall be two-piece, screw-type with five and one-fourth inch shaft. Valve box covers shall be cast-iron extra deep type, marked "water."
(e) Hydrants shall be furnished by the Village.
