(a) Purpose. The purpose of this article is to supplement the specific provisions of Chapter IX and other applicable portions of the LAMC concerning the administration of all ordinances, laws and regulations under the jurisdiction of the Board of Building and Safety Commissioners or the Department. (b) Scope. The provisions of this article insofar as they are substantially the same as existing ordinances relating to the same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and continuation of those ordinances.
