(a) The Department is hereby authorized to stop the installation of electric wiring or the concealment thereof, whenever an installation is being done in violation of this Code, or where a hazard to life and property is created until the hazard or violation has been eliminated. (b) The notice to stop work shall be in writing, served as provided in the Los Angeles Municipal Code, upon the person violating or responsible for the violation of this Code.
(c) No person shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with a stop work notice.
